The theme for Winterfest this year was “The Mission.”  We were encouraged by challenging messages, inspirational worship, & much more.  The challenge began Friday night with the call to Know Jesus.  The only we can truly know Jesus is to spend time with Him.  Matthew, Mark, Luke & John have given us four wonderful stories sharing the life of Jesus with us.  And because of their stories we can come to understand & jknow who Jesus really is.   

Our mission continued on Saturday as we were encouraged to Be Jesus & See Jesus.  We were reminded that we live in a very dark world filled with war, poverty, abuse & disease.  Our only hope is to call on the name of the Lord that He might heal our land.  And that’s exactly what we did.  Thousands gathered in prayer to God with sincere hearts voicing our concern for “the least of these.”  And we were reminded that when we look at others, we should see Jesus.  Before we can be Jesus we have to see others as Jesus. 

Finally, Winterfest closed with the challenge to Share Jesus.  As our youth group gathered together we enjoyed sharing in communion together & sharing Jesus with one another.  This was truly an amazing weekend as we came together to understand our mission on this planet.  May God bless us along our way as we seek to be light & salt to this world.
